Australian Catholic University (ACU) is a public university where over 32,000 students from over 80 countries study. ACU was one of the first education providers in Australian, originating in 1857 and becoming a public university in 1991. ACU is the Australian Catholic University, a public university funded by the Australian Government and open to students and staff of all beliefs.
ACU International is responsible for promoting the university overseas, developing partnerships with overseas institutions, and supporting the international students who study at our campuses in Australia.
ACU has six campuses located in eastern Australia: Melbourne, Sydney (2), Brisbane, Canberra, and Ballarat. Each campus has its own unique environment, in either a city or suburban location.
Our St Patrick’s Campus is located in the heart of cosmopolitan Melbourne. The cafes, shops and nightlife of Brunswick and Smith Streets are nearby, as are some of the city’s finest parks.
The campus itself is a mix of historic and modern buildings with plenty of room to study, relax and connect with other students. Over the next ten years the campus will be redeveloped to accommodate growing staff and student numbers.
